"Judy's Fancy: Old-Fashioned Ingenuity" (63.125 by 84.875 inches, 1995) was designed and pieced by Judy Martin and quilted by Barbara Ford. The quilt uses a vintage 1860s color scheme and many reproduction fabrics. The background fabrics are primarily Staples by Marsha McCloskey, courtesy of Fasco. Judy explains how she made half-blocks and joined them in diagonal rows to achieve the look of staggered blocks in The Creative Pattern Book (Crosley-Griffith Publishing Company, Inc., 2000).
