  "Mellow Morning in the Forest" (112 by 112 inches, 1987) is an offset Log Cabin design. Joen achieved an opalescent effect by placing colors randomly. The quilting lines radiate outward from the centers of the blocks. This quilt is shown in The Magical Effects of Color. Photo by Ken Wagner.
