  Paula machine-pieced "Kaleidoscopic XVI: More is More" (64 by 64 inches, 1996) in cotton and silk and hand-quilted it. The quilt contains four 12-sided mandalas in the center and 29 smaller kaleidoscopes around the borders. This quilt was selected for the prestigious 1999 exhibit and book The Twentieth Century's Best American Quilts (Primedia Special Interest Publications). Photo by Karen Bell.
