  This is a closer view of one of the four hangings that form "Shades of the Southwest." Terrell repeated the same pattern across each shade, varying the colors of the sueded fabrics with each block. "I don't usually work with either pastels or solids," she says. "I was amazed at how restful it was, sewing these calm fabrics."
