| "Babylon" (65 by 76.25 inches) was pieced by Sara Nephew and quilted by Shirley Gylleck. This variation on the traditional Tumbling Blocks pattern reminded Sara of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, because of its floral prints and bright pastels combined with the strong architectural geometry of the pattern. A wide, plain border with elaborate quilting helps hold it all together. This quilt is featured in Building Block Quilts by Sara Nephew. | |||
